Privacy policy
Private voices deserve careful treatment. StoryCoro collects only what is needed to assemble the story you choose to make.

What we collect
When an organizer creates a story, we store the recipient name, occasion, chapter prompts, a private invitation credential, and an organizer credential. When an invited person contributes, we store the name they enter, the chapter they select, their audio recording, and the upload date. We do not require contributor accounts.
How we use it
We use this information only to receive recordings, show them privately to the organizer, and create downloadable audio stories. We do not use recordings to train artificial intelligence, build voice models, advertise, profile people, or track them across apps or websites.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Recordings are visible only to the organizer holding the private organizer credential. Contributors cannot browse other contributions. Infrastructure providers may process encrypted traffic or store data on encrypted infrastructure solely to operate the service.
Retention and deletion
The organizer can permanently delete an individual recording or an entire story in the app. Replacing an invitation immediately invalidates the old link. Deleted recordings and story metadata are removed from active storage. Provider-managed recovery copies, if any, follow the infrastructure provider's retention schedule.
Security
Production traffic uses HTTPS. Invitation and organizer credentials are stored on the server only as one-way hashes. The organizer credential is kept in the iOS Keychain, and local project data uses iOS file protection. No system can guarantee absolute security, so private invitation links should be shared only with intended contributors.
Children
StoryCoro is not directed to children under 13. Organizers should not invite a child to contribute without the consent and supervision required where they live.
Your choices
You may decline to contribute, ask the organizer to delete your recording, or use the in-app controls to delete organizer-held content. Privacy requests can be sent to storycoroapp@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated before the new practices apply.
